Join us for our annual breakfast and book talk gathering. This year’s book is We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter. This compelling story demonstrates how, in the face of the twentieth century’s darkest moments, the human spirit can endure and even thrive. Participants are encouraged to read the book in advance for a thoughtful in-person discussion over breakfast. Purchase your copy online or visit your nearest bookstore.

Ottawa Walking Tour

Take a curated walking tour of historic Wellington St. and the ByWard Market, Ottawa’s premier destination for shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment. Meet at The Westin Hotel and depart for historic Wellington Street, then walk through the ByWard Market to the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. As you head back to The Westin, stop at ByWard Market and use your $20 gift card to get some lunch or pick up a keepsake to remember your visit.

Rideau Canal Cruise

Enjoy Ottawa from the water onboard this boat ride and discover the richness of the region’s historical landmarks and heritage while cruising aboard a brand new all-electric vessel. The 90-minute tour begins at 10:00 AM at the locks just above the Ottawa River and cruises to Dow’s Lake to Fairmont Chateau Laurier and back, as an experienced tour guide interprets the numerous historic sites and landmarks along the way.
