The CMHA Concrete Masonry Sound and Assemblies Properties Calculator is a spreadsheet-based calculator tool to aid in determining a variety of properties of concrete masonry units. The calculator can be used to determine section properties such as net area, moment of inertia, radius of gyration and more based on user-defined inputs. Wall weights are also calculated based on units, grouting schedule, and more. In addition. the calculator can determine Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Outdoor-Indoor Transmission Class (OITC) based on wall weight using the methodology contained in TMS 302, Standard Method for Determining the Sound Transmission Class Rating for Masonry Walls.
