Education Manager

This position is responsible for the strategic growth and management of education  programming while involved in other operational functions.  As part of this role, the Education Manager will be responsible for the creation, delivery and continuous improvement of all CMHA’s education programs.  This includes the overall management of in-person and online CMHA education programs including but not limited to, scheduling, registration, database, website updates, event reporting, and marketing &communication.   

The position reports to the Director of Education. All decisions are made within legal provisions and CMHA bylaws, policies, and procedures. 

  • Liaise with speakers, sponsors, and committee members to ensure successful education programs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners for education courses to ensure that speaker presentations run smoothly.
  • Oversee all aspects of in-person and online professional development program implementation.
  • Proactively work with sponsors to grow revenue and continually evaluate areas to improve profitability.
  • Review existing processes, procedures and overall portfolio management to identify areas of improvement and identify and evaluate opportunities for growth.
  • Create and execute program content for the web as well as for other marketing applications.
  • Assist in education content development, recording, promotion, and execution of the Hardscape North America event.
  • Create a webinar schedule with the CMHA technical team and CMHA members.
  • Assist with the promotion of events and programs.
  • Perform such other duties as assigned by the Director of Education.
  • 4+ years’ experience in designing and developing in-person & online education programs for an association.
  • Experience with Bluesky preferred or other Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with Membersuite AMS a plus.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous trade association experience a plus.
  • Success with building commitment and engagement with volunteers.
  • Experience working with committees. Assertive, able, and willing to take on new responsibilities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to act independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service focused with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to travel.
