The Industry Champion Award is a special recognition that extends beyond CMHA and the immediate concrete products industry. It honors individuals who, through their efforts and dedication, have significantly contributed to the promotion and advancement of concrete products. These are people from various fields and industries who have recognized the value of concrete products and have championed their use, helping to drive innovation, sustainability, and growth. This award is our way of expressing deep appreciation for their invaluable contributions that have supported and elevated the industry as a whole.

About the Industry Champion Award
Criteria and Eligibility
- Recipients must not be directly employed by a concrete product manufacturing company.
- Examples of appropriate champion recipients are: designers, contractors, educators, researchers, public officials, etc.
- While duration of service will be considered, the perceived lasting impacts of achievements count for more than longevity.
Nomination Process
- Open nominations solicited with special solicitation through the Hardscapes committee and the Masonry Committee.
- Nominations due December 1.
Approval Process
- The Awards Task Group (defined above) reviews and makes recommendations.
- The Executive Committee reviews recommendation and makes motion for approval to the Board.
- Board approves.
Recognitions
- At the time of award presentation, recipients will receive a Crystal Award.
- The Awards Task Group will oversee award presentations
- The Association will provide complimentary luncheon to up to 4 immediate family members of award recipients at the time of their induction.
- With approval of the President, recipient travel expenses will be reimbursed to attend the CMHA presentation.

Nominations for the Industry Champion Award are accepted annually, with submissions open until December 1. The process involves submitting a nomination form detailing the candidate’s achievements and contributions.
