Become An Instructor

The Concrete Masonry & Hardscape Association (CMHA) offers a robust installer training program with three distinct types of authorized instructors: professional instructors, industry instructors, and university instructors. Each category brings a unique set of qualifications and expertise to the courses. Together, these instructors ensure CMHA’s installer courses are delivered with expert knowledge, industry relevance, and educational excellence, setting students up for career success.

  • An instructor needs to take/attend a train-the-trainer event.
  • All instructors must sign the instructor agreement and qualifications.

Instructor Renewals

To maintain CMHA Authorized Instructor status, instructors are required to complete ten continuing education credits (CEUs) during each two-year authorization period. Of these 10 CEUs, 2 must focus on adult education topics, ensuring instructors stay current with effective teaching methods. The remaining 8 CEUs must be directly related to the specific course the instructor is certified to teach, ensuring their subject matter expertise remains up-to-date and relevant to industry standards.
